Num cenário cultural contemporâneo (vivido sob o signo intimidante do tempo), partilham os coordenadores (Docentes do Departamento de Humanidades, da Universidade Aberta) deste volume a ideia de que se deve trabalhar cada vez mais a confiança nas Humanidades, privilegiando-se a sua centralidade e a convicção positiva nos valores da Cultura, da Literatura, das Artes, da Linguística, da História, da Filosofia, da Comunicação e Informação, dos Estudos Comparados, da Sociologia.
In a contemporary cultural scenario (experienced under the intimidating sign of time), the coordinators of this volume (members of Universidade Aberta’s Humanities Department) share the idea that we must increasingly work towards trust in the Humanities, prioritizing their centrality and the positive conviction in the values of culture, literature, the arts, linguistics, history, philosophy, communication and information science, comparative studies, and sociology.
