Abstract(s)
Apresentamos neste artigo o artefacto que desenvolvemos para a performance “O Homem da Gaita”, partindo da utilização de um dispositivo móvel – smartphone ou tablet – e da tecnologia de Realidade Aumentada (RA). Pretende-se que seja um contador de histórias a utilizá-lo a par com o livro tradicional impresso, explorando a modulação do ambiente de leitura através da interatividade e a virtualidade da RA, numa relação de mediação e envolvência com as crianças até aqui inalcançável no ato de contar um conto.Iniciamos este trabalho evidenciando a importância dos ambientes de leitura e a atual apreensão dos agentes envolvidos nos processos de mediação e promoção da leitura devido ao impacto do universo digital. Neste contexto perscrutamos a aplicabilidade da RA nesses mesmos processos. Seguidamente descrevemos a implementação do artefacto com uma abordagem sumária dos meios tecnológicos – software e hardware – utilizados. Por fim damos conta do impacto que o projeto tem tido junto do seu público-alvo, as crianças e dos medidores da leitura.
In this article, we present the artifact developed for the performance of “O homem da gaita” using mobile devices - such as a smartphone or a tablet - and the Augmented Reality (AR) technology. We want the storyteller to be supported by the traditional printed book, exploring the reading environment modulation through the interactivity and virtuality of AR, in a mediated and involved relationship with children that until now was unreachable when telling a story. First, we highlight the importance of reading by highlighting the importance of reading environments and the current fear of mediators in reading promotion regarding the impact of the digital world. In this context, we try to give an insight to the application of AR in these processes. Then we describe the artifact’s implementation, giving a briefly insight on the technological resources used, both soft and hardware. Finally, we analyze the project’s impact on the target’s audience, children and reading mediators readers.
