A importância das comunidades virtuais de prática em ambiente educativo: sucesso e colaboração de uma comunidade de professores

Abstract(s)
Face à atual ecologia da Web 2.0 e o poder da Rede global, o presente artigo ancora-se na análise da
importância e enriquecimento que uma comunidade virtual de prática educacional potencia bem como na
análise das suas características e boas práticas.
As opções metodológicas recaíram na adoção de uma abordagem qualitativa com estudo de caso. Quanto à recolha de dados optámos inicialmente pela observação à dinâmica da comunidade a que se seguiram entrevistas semi-diretivas ao administrador e membros e um questionário online aos membros.
Concluímos que para a formação e proliferação de uma comunidade virtual de prática em âmbito educacional é determinante a vontade expressa de um conjunto de indivíduos que se identifiquem entre si, e um domínio reconhecido como relevante num espaço sem hierarquia explícita, não tutelar nem tutelado, sem demasiada estruturação. A resposta à dúvida colocada como a partilha de experiência assume-se fundamental para esta comunidade.
In view of the current Web 2.0 ecology and the power of the global Network, the present article seeks to analyse the importance and enrichment that a virtual community of educational practice fosters as well as an overview of its characteristics and good practices. Methodologically speaking, it was decided to adopt a qualitative approach with a case study. As regards data collection we initially opted for observing the community dynamics followed by semi-structured interviews of the administrator and members and an online questionnaire for members. We concluded that the formation and proliferation of a virtual community of practice in the educational field is dependent on the express will of a set of individuals who identify with each other and a domain recognised as relevant in a space without explicit hierarchy, neither protected nor protective, without too much structuring. The answer to the query raised as the sharing of experience has become vital to this community.
