O presente texto resulta da investigação realizada no âmbito do Mestrado em Pedagogia
do e-learning. A metodologia de investigação pesquisa-formação na cibercultura permitiu-nos ser
simultaneamente investigadores e professores. Procurámos responder à questão: pode a metodologia
Flipped Classroom, aliada à Sala de Aula Interativa, potenciar a aprendizagem Inglês Língua
Estrangeira no sexto ano do segundo ciclo do ensino básico? Para tal, desenvolvemos o dispositivo Flipped Mobile English Learning que combinou espaçostempos além dos convencionais, recursos
educacionais diversificados e também uma sala de aula online na aplicação Edmodo. Através da
análise dos dados da investigação emergiram as noções subsunçoras mediação pedagógica online,
aprendizagem colaborativa, avaliação formativa e autorregulação das aprendizagens que se
entrelaçaram e contribuíram para uma aprendizagem efetiva e interativa. Verificámos que não só
desenvolvemos as competências comunicativa, intercultural e estratégica na aprendizagem do Inglês
Língua Estrangeira como também possibilitámos o desenvolvimento do espírito crítico, da autonomia
e até da autoria, competências necessárias ao perfil dos alunos do século XXI.
The present text is the result of research carried out in the scope of the Master's in eLearning Pedagogy. The research methodology research-training in cyberculture allowed us to be both researchers and teachers. We tried to answer the question: can the Flipped Classroom methodology, combined with the Interactive Classroom, enhance the learning of English as a Foreign Language in the sixth grade of the second cycle of basic education? We developed the Flipped Mobile English Learning research artifact that combined space-time beyond the conventional ones, diversified educational resources and an online classroom in the Edmodo application. Through the analysis of the research data, the sub-notions online pedagogical mediation, collaborative learning, formative assessment, and self-regulated learning emerged, all of which intertwined and contributed to effective and interactive learning. We found that we not only developed communicative, intercultural, and strategic competences in the learning of English as a foreign language, but also enabled the development of critical thinking, autonomy, and even authorship, which are necessary skills for the 21st century students' profile.
