Abstract(s)
A investigação subjacente a esta dissertação centra-se num estudo de caso num Agrupamento de Escolas do Concelho de Viseu e tem como objetivo avaliar o grau de satisfação dos alunos e professores relativamente ao funcionamento da escola que frequentam. Ao apresentar o “ponto de vista”/perceção de alunos e professores, atores centrais da escola, pensamos estar a contribuir para a mudança cultural escolar, a criação de novas dinâmicas nas organizações escolares e, consequentemente, melhoria no serviço que prestam.
Mais especificamente, procura-se identificar e hierarquizar os pontos fortes e aspetos menos positivos da escola, para que o diagnóstico da organização escolar permita potenciar futuras intervenções de melhoria do Agrupamento.
Esta reflexão pretende também comparar as realidades dos estabelecimentos de ensino básico com 2º e 3º ciclos do Agrupamento, visando obter informação mobilizável para o processo de construção da cultura organizacional.
Para a sua concretização recorremos a uma abordagem quantitativa, aplicando um inquérito por questionários aos alunos e aos docentes.
Através deste estudo foi possível recolher sugestões que poderão contribuir para a melhoria do funcionamento e do serviço prestado pelo Agrupamento.
Os resultados obtidos permitiram ainda concluir que, tanto alunos como professores, fazem uma apreciação bastante positiva do serviço prestado pelas escolas, sendo de notar, no entanto, que o facto de integrarem uma escola e não a outra tem influência nas opiniões dos inquiridos.
The research underlying this dissertation is focused on a case study within a Merging of Schools of the Municipality of Viseu and its goal is to assess the students’ and teachers’ level of satisfaction with the operational conditions of the school they are attending. By introducing the “viewpoint”/perception of students and teachers, key players of the school, we feel we can help bring about the school’s cultural change, creating new dynamics within the school organisations and, therefore, improving the service they provide. In particular, the aim is to identify and prioritise the strengths and weaknesses of the school, so that the diagnostic of the school organisation may boost future interventions that will improve the Merging of Schools. This reflection also aims at comparing the realities of the primary education schools of the Merging of Schools with 2nd and 3rd cycles, in order to get information that may promote the process of building the organisational culture. To accomplish our work, we used a quantitative methodology based on a survey by questionnaires addressed to the students and teaching staff. This survey enabled us to collect suggestions that may help to improve the running of the Merging of Schools and the service it provides. The results obtained lead us to conclude that both students and teachers make a rather positive assessment of the service provided by the schools. However, it should be pointed out that integrating a specific school instead of another one influences the respondents’ opinions.
