Abstract(s)
No Brasil e no mundo, uma das frentes ainda pouco exploradas no contexto da Educação a Distância (EaD) é o desenvolvimento das pesquisas sobre a modalidade. Assim, com o objetivo de sistematizar elementos discutidos na literatura sobre a Educação a Distância, este texto procura fomentar respostas a questões norteadoras sobre o assunto: Que relações podem ser, atualmente, estabelecidas entre pesquisa e a modalidade Educação a Distância? Como está, atualmente, o campo investigativo sobre a EaD? Qual a agenda de pesquisa da EaD na contemporaneidade? Conclui-se que as pesquisas sobre EaD e a própria modalidade passam por redefinições, sobretudo de cariz metodológico, indicando aproximações entre a agenda de pesquisas sobre a EaD e a própria área de estudo. Observou-se também uma melhor organização desta agenda de pesquisa sobre a EaD, municiada pelas tecnologias digitais de informação e comunicação e pela
grande quantidade de grupos de pesquisa envolvidos com a temática. Embora ainda existam muitos aspectos da EaD nas sombras, por serem elucidados cientificamente, são positivas as perspectivas investigativas da área, pois ela tem se mostrado como campo fértil para estudos e pesquisas, evoluindo muito aceleradamente.
Both in Brazil and worldwide, one of the fronts still little explored in the context of Distance Education is the development of research on this modality. Therefore, with the aim of systematizing elements discussed on literature on Distance Education, this text seeks to foster answers on the subject: What relationships can be currently established between research and the Distance Education modality? Currently, how is the research field on Distance Education? What is the contemporary research agenda of Distance Education? The analysis shows that the research on Distance Education and the modality itself has been going through redefinitions, mainly methodological, indicating approximations between the research agenda on Distance Education and the area of study itself. It was also possible to observe a better organization of this research agenda, powered by digital technologies of information and communication and by the great amount of research groups involved with the subject. Although there are still many aspects of Distance Education in the shadows, to be scientifically elucidated, the research perspectives of this area are positive, as it has proved to be a fertile field for studies and research, evolving very rapidly.
