Abstract(s)
The extension of the primary schools timetable, included in the programme “Full Time School”, was, to the majority of the families, a socially relevant measure. Nowadays, the curricular enrichment activities are implemented and fully functioning in primary schools, which consists in filling up periods of the day, previously occupied by leisure time activities, meaning that children spend the majority of the day at school. It was based on these findings that we elaborated this article focused on how the programmatic guidelines from the Ministry of Education are working on study plans in primary schools from São João da Madeira. Therefore, we present the document analysis of the internal guidelines from the School Assemblies being studied in contrast to the central programmatic guidelines. The discussion of the results will be theoretically framed by School Supervision. With this article we intend to contribute to the knowledge of the workability of study plans developed by curricular enrichment activities, taking as example São João da Madeira, as well as to contribute to the debate concerning the factors that condition or facilitate this workability.
