A presente investigação procurou identificar o ponto da situação do Ensino Superior de Línguas - Tradução, em Portugal e no Brasil, no que respeita à existência de disciplinas sobre ferramentas informáticas de auxílio
à tradução escrita nas grelhas curriculares das principais Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) desses dois países. A metodologia adotada foi a da investigação baseada em desenho. Foram utilizadas as técnicas de análise documental e de inquérito por questionário, pelo qual foram identificadas onze principais ferramentas informáticas de auxílio à tradução escrita, ferramentas estas tidas como as de maior importância de utilização por parte do público-alvo: tradutores participantes de uma lista de discussão eletrónica do Yahoo Groups e de um grupo do Facebook, relacionados à área de interesse (Línguas - Tradução). Em continuação, por meio das aplicações gratuitas de autoria de conteúdos para a Web, eXe Learning, e de edição,
Kompozer, foram criados onze objetos de aprendizagem (OA) sobre as ferramentas de maior importância identificadas pelo supracitado inquérito por questionário. Estes onze OA, na qualidade de artefactos eletrónicos, inéditos em língua portuguesa, em formato de páginas com linguagem de marcação
de hipertexto (HTML), sob o padrão SCORM de partilha de conteúdos para e-learning, estão disponíveis à comunidade académica no Repositório Aberto da Universidade Aberta de Portugal. Tratam-se de Recursos
Educacionais Abertos que poderão ser úteis aos corpos docentes e discentes das IES no sentido de uma atualização do conteúdo das grelhas curriculares dos seus cursos superiores de Línguas - Tradução de modo a melhor se adequarem às exigências do atual mercado de trabalho para tradutores.
The present research sought to identify the current status of Higher Education in Portugal and Brazil in the area of Languages - Translation, regarding whether the curricula offered by Higher Education Institutions from these two countries contains enough disciplines about computer-aided translation (CAT) tools or not. The methodology adopted was that of designbased research with the help of techniques like documental analysis and questionnaire survey. Eleven CAT tools have been identified as most relevant ones for the target public choosen: translators participating in a Yahoo Groups' electronic mailing list and from a Facebook group, both related to the area of interest (Languages - Translation). In addition, eleven learning objects (LO) have been created - using a free web-authoring application, eXe Learning, and editing software, Kompozer - about the most important CAT tools identified by the aforementioned questionnaire survey. These eleven LO - as new e-learning materials in Portuguese, in the format of HTML pages following SCORM standard for sharing e-learning content, are available to the academic community in the Open University of Portugal's Open Repository. Such an Open Educational Resources may be useful to teachers and students from Higher Education Institutions which may update their curricula of Languages - Translation courses in an attempt to better coping with the demands from the current job market for Translators.
