Abstract(s)
No contexto da sociedade globalizada, as tecnologias da informação e comunicação dão corpo à cibercultura e, mais concretamente, permitem promover a inteligência coletiva. Tais dinâmicas estão presentes em muitos eixos da atividade humana, nomeadamente na educação, incluindo na educação aberta. Assim, e posicionando-nos neste eixo, refletimos sobre o impacto das tecnologias nos sistemas educativos, em particular no contexto dos ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem. Para o efeito, consideramos uma tecnologia educacional em rede específica – a Wikipédia –, explorando o seu potencial, quer enquanto resultado da sabedoria das multidões, quer como uma comunidade de prática. E, da integração curricular que temos vindo a fazer desta enciclopédia, exemplo paradigmático da Web 2.0, salienta-se que por via da COVID-19, na atualidade, adquire uma outra dimensão no campo educativo, seja totalmente a distância ou na modalidade de blended learning.
In the context of a globalized society, information and communication technologies embody cyberculture and, more specifically, allow the promotion of collective intelligence. Such dynamics are present in many axes of human activity, namely in education, including open education. Thus, and assuming that axis, we reflect on the impact of technologies on educational systems, particularly in the context of virtual learning environments. To that end, we consider a specific networked educational technology – Wikipedia –, exploring its potential both as a result of the wisdom of the crowds and as a community of practice. And, from the curricular integration we have been considering of this encyclopedia, a paradigmatic example of Web 2.0, it is noteworthy that, because of COVID-19, currently, it acquires a different dimension in the educational field, whether entirely at a distance or in the blended learning modality.
