O crescente e rápido desenvolvimento tecnológico alterou
profundamente as formas de comunicação nas últimas décadas. Com a
facilidade no acesso e na utilização de equipamentos cada vez mais
evoluídos, rápidos, versáteis e capazes, o cidadão comum tem agora a
possibilidade de comunicar e se expressar através dos mais variados
meios.
De igual forma, a tecnologia “de bolso” permite-nos hoje aceder à
totalidade de conteúdos dispersos na web ou, como mais recentemente
se refere, na nuvem. Este acesso fácil alterou os paradigmas de ensino
e aprendizagem, em que a consulta e a partilha se tornaram partes
essenciais destes processos. O mobile learning surge como forma de
ensino emergente, cada vez mais real e próximo da maioria da
população portuguesa, nos vários estratos sociais e níveis de ensino.
Esta dissertação procura encontrar uma metodologia adequada à
utilização de tecnologias móveis no ensino das Ciências Naturais num
contexto muito particular, e deixar ideias e sugestões para a sua
aplicação futura noutras disciplinas e noutros níveis e tipos de ensino.
The increasing and rapid technological development has profoundly changed the way we communicate nowadays. With the ease of access and use of equipment becoming more advanced, fast, versatile and capable, the average citizen now has the ability to communicate and express himself through a variety of means. Similarly, the "pocket" technology allows us to now access full contents scattered on the web or, more recently referred as the cloud. This easy access has changed the paradigms of teaching and learning, making consultation and sharing become essential parts of these processes. The mobile-learning emerges as a new form of teaching, more real and close to most of the Portuguese population in the various social strata and educational levels. This thesis seeks to find an appropriate methodology for the use of mobile technologies in the teaching of natural sciences to a very particular context, and leave ideas and suggestions to its future application in other disciplines and in other levels and types of education.
