Este artigo apresenta resultados de uma pesquisa sobre a formação de professores para a docência on-line, o perfil docente e os desafios que estes têm enfrentado na transposição do presencial para o on-line. Utilizaram-se um método de pesquisa quantitativo, sendo o estudo de natureza descritiva, e o questionário on-line como instrumento de recolha de dados. Este foi aplicado a professores que exercem atividades docentes on-line em Instituições de Ensino Superior no Brasil e em Portugal. O estudo envolveu uma amostra aleatória simples, composta por 277 docentes universitários, dos quais 236 do Brasil e 41 de Portugal. Foram realizadas análises estatísticas descritivas, empregando-se o software SPSS 26.0 para avaliar as diferenças entre os docentes das duas nacionalidades. Com base nos resultados obtidos, verificou-se que não existem diferenças estatisticamente significantes entre os docentes on-line nos contextos português e brasileiro.
This article presents results of a research focusing on the training of professors for online teaching, the teaching profile and the challenges that professors have faced in transposing their classroom practices to the online environment. A quantitative research method was used, in a descriptive study where an online survey was used as an instrument of data collection. This was applied to teachers who conducted online teaching activities in higher education institutions, in Brazil and in Portugal. The study involved a random sample of 277 university professors, 236 from Brazil and 41 from Portugal. Descriptive statistical analyzes were performed, using the SPSS 26.0 software, to assess the differences between teachers of both nationalities. Based on the results obtained, it was found that there are no major statistically significant differences between online professors in the Portuguese and Brazilian context.
