Abstract(s)
digitais e consequentemente assumido as TIC.
It is increasingly evident that Information and Communication Technologies assume a determining role in today's society. Thanks to new digital environments, the way in which we communicate and relate to others, access and sharing of information, learning and the exercise of citizenship, have undergone significant changes and in this regard, offered considerable advantages for education, particularly important in island countries such as Cape Verde. Cape Verde has taken over ICT through a gradual integration of digital resources. However, despite the enormous efforts by the institutions and the results already achieved in the use of these resources, there is still a long way to go in aligning the country with the potential and specificities of the Information Society. Although the use of ICT in the teaching and learning process is still not very common in all schools in Cape Verde, several initiatives have been developed in recent years for the implementation of ICT in schools with the introduction of new and new practices approaches in an educational context frequented by digital natives. Despite the continued improvement of the main indicators, there is still a long way to go. The present research work on “Perceptions about ICT in teaching practices in a secondary school on the island of São Nicolau”, aims to contribute to the clarification of some questions, analyzes and expectations of teachers with some training in the area of ICT for use in classroom, as well as a survey on infrastructure, equipment and their use in secondary schools in the country, with a focus on a secondary school on the island of São Nicolau. It is intended to work with students, teachers and ICT in the face-to-face classroom.
