| dc.description.abstract | Reconhecendo-se o importante papel que as bibliotecas escolares têm vindo a assumir no nosso sistema de ensino, em particular nas últimas duas décadas, na sequência da criação da rede de bibliotecas escolares, importa compreender como é que os elementos mais diretamente relacionados com o trabalho nessa área – os alunos – se posicionam face a essa estrutura pedagógica e como encaram os eventuais benefícios resultantes da existência de uma biblioteca na escola. Partindo deste contexto, este trabalho procura, através de um estudo de caso sobre a ação e papéis das bibliotecas escolares de Vila Viçosa, compreender os usos que os alunos fazem da biblioteca e as representações que os aluno têm sobre esse espaço escolar no seu processo de formação e construção escolar e educativa. Por outro lado, procuramos perceber se existe correspondência entre o discurso conceptual e as perspetivas dos alunos sobre a importância da BE no seu processo educativo e na promoção e dinamização cultural da comunidade educativa e alargada a que pertencem. Considerando-se a BE como centro de recursos educativos, formativos e lúdicos procuraremos compreender se a BE contribui para a diminuição das assimetrias sociais e geográficas, promovendo uma efetiva igualdade de oportunidades e democratização no acesso às fontes de informação e recursos diversificados. No caso de Vila Viçosa não existe uma Biblioteca Municipal, assim interessa também perceber o papel que a BE desempenha como promotora e dinamizadora da vida cultural do meio. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | By recognizing the important role that school libraries have been assuming in our education system, especially over the last two decades, due to the establishment of the school libraries network, it is important to understand how the students (whom this work is more directly related with) position themselves in this pedagogical structure and how they view the benefits which may come from the existence of a school library. It is through a case study of the action and the roles of school libraries in Vila Viçosa that this work seeks to understand the uses students make of the library and the representations that they have of this school space in their training and educational process. On the other hand, we sought to find out whether there is any correspondence between the conceptual speech and the students´perspectives concerning the importance of the school library in their educational process and in the cultural promotion and dynamism of the extended educational community to which they belong. Considering the school library as an educational, training and recreational resource center, we will try to understand if it contributes to the reduction of social and geographic asymmetries, by promoting an effective equality of opportunities and democratization in the access to information sources and varied resources. In Vila Viçosa’s case, where there isn´t a Public Library, it is also important to understand the role of the school library as a promoter of the cultural life in its surroundings. | |
