| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho de dissertação incide fundamentalmente sobre os textos fragmentários de uma voz pré-heteronímica pessoana, a do francês Jean Seul de Méluret. Habitando em Lisboa, Méluret manifesta uma grande preocupação com a decadência francesa que encara como prenúncio do declínio iminente da civilização ocidental, razão que o leva a denunciar satiricamente esta situação em três textos de natureza panfletária. A produção pessoana destes textos, com registos escritos entre 1907 e 1914, insere-se, pois, no início do Primeiro Modernismo português, altura da profusão europeia de manifestos panfletários a anunciar a explosão de estéticas vanguardistas que visam instaurar uma nova ordem estética, apelando, por isso, à subversão da cultura instituída para situar o homem na modernidade. Pretendemos apresentar, contextualizar e analisar alguns aspetos típicos desta voz pré-heteronímica, nomeadamente o recurso à sátira e ao discurso do excesso (pela acentuada incidência na inversão, no hediondo e no macabro) a denotar algumas semelhanças com a veia satírica e panfletária do futuro Álvaro de Campos. É a recorrência do excesso, tanto a nível temático como discursivo, que confere à voz satírica do irreverente Méluret a tonalidade profética denunciadora de comportamentos social e moralmente reprováveis, advogando, em consequência, a necessidade urgente da destruição da ordem sociocultural existente para que possa surgir o advento de uma nova ordem. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation is mainly about the fragmentary texts by a pre heteronymic voice of Fernando Pessoa, that of the French Jean Seul de Méluret. Being in Lisbon, Méluret expresses a deep concern with the French decadence which he sees as a presage of the imminent decline of the western civilization, what makes him denounce that situation in three satirical pamphletary texts. These texts written by Pessoa, with written records between 1907 and 1914, appertain to the very beginning of Portuguese modernism which combines with the European eclosion of pamphletary manifests proclaiming new vanguardist aesthetics views, aiming to subvert the established culture in order to situate man in modernity. It’s our purpose to present, contextualise and analyse some of the most representative features of this pre heteronymic voice, namely the satire and a speech of excess (by using insistently the inversion, the hideous and the macabre) pointing out to some similarities with the satirical and pamphletary vein of the forthcoming Álvaro de Campos. It’s the overuse of the excess, both at a thematic and discursive level, that gives to the satirical voice of the irreverent Méluret the prophetical tone denouncing condemnable social and moral behaviours, claiming, consequently, the urgent need for the destruction of the established social and cultural order so that the coming of a new order can emerge. | |
