Reflexos de um olhar sobre a história do mundo medieval, o de Maria José Ferro Tavares, este texto assenta numa conversa que pretende cruzar interesses pessoais, académicos e da experiência de um quotidiano de prática e ofício de historiador.
A ideia de realizar uma entrevista no contexto deste livro de Homenagem prende-se não só com o contacto desde algum tempo estabelecido com a homenageada, com o sentido mais informal de descobrir e desvendar os interesses e a sólida experiência da Autora, sendo deste modo e só por si um testemunho de vida universitária e um percurso pela História Medieval em Portugal.
This text, which reflects Maria José Ferro Tavares’s view of the history of the medieval world, is based on a conversation that sought to combine personal and academic interests with the experience of a historian’s daily practice and craft. The idea of conducting an interview in the context of this book of homage is not only linked to the long-standing contact with the honorees, but also in a more informal sense of discovering and revealing the author’s interests and solid experience, and is thus in itself a testimony of university life and a journey through medieval history in Portugal.
