Abstract(s)
grandes desafios do século XXI.
O enquadramento destaca a convergência desses
Promoting ethical awareness, environmental sustainability, and cultural sustainability is one of the major challenges of the 21st century. The connection between art, sustainability, and technology is a trend in contemporary society. New paradigms of cultural consumption aim to protect nature and the environment through cultural and artistic expressions, in order to prepare various community actors for the exercise of conscious, dynamic, and informed citizenship in the face of current environmental issues. Developing a critical spirit in the community regarding this theme, transmitting values and attitudes of change and perspectives to recover and restore damaged environments, raising awareness about the environmental problems we face, and proposing new possibilities for coexistence, is an urgent task. In this sense, art assumes a significant role, particularly in the field of emotions and in the way it can influence new ways of looking at the world. In a context of profound contemporary changes, the research proposes the production of contemporary artistic installations, namely “FOR THE FUTURE OF THE PAST" and “ZOOM IN and ZOOM OUT”, which raise questions and offer possibilities in integrating three elements: art, sustainability, and technology. The artifacts are shaped through the questioning of the dominant values of human species self-preservation, with the potential for a new ethical consciousness, environmental and cultural sustainability. The framework highlights the convergence of these elements as essential catalysts for building a more sustainable future. By exploring the interaction between digital media art and sustainability, the research also aims to identify how the Design Thinking methodology can be applied effectively in this context, promoting an innovative and collaborative approach to sustainable challenges. The work proposes an analysis of the synergies between art, technology and sustainability, with the aim of contributing to the creation of creative and relevant solutions that raise awareness of environmental issues and inspire action in favour of a more sustainable future.
