Abstract(s)
O contexto atual de crescente e diversificada mobilidade humana a nível global, caracterizado pelo aumento dos fluxos migratórios e do número de refugiados, coloca questões aos níveis económico, social e político e novos desafios às políticas migratórias e à proteção dos direitos humanos. Este artigo pretende refletir sobre o fortalecimento de políticas públicas promotoras da inclusão e do trabalho digno e decente de populações em situação de migração e refúgio, assim como contribuir para uma melhor gestão da mobilidade humana e para a promoção de políticas migratórias que fomentem a coesão social, a defesa dos direitos humanos, a luta contra a discriminação e a desigualdade de oportunidades e a cooperação com os países de origem dos migrantes em favor do desenvolvimento.
The present scenario of increasing and diversified human mobility at a global level, characterized by increasing migratory flows and refugee populations, raises questions at economic, social and political levels and poses new challenges to migration policies and human rights protection. In this article, we intend to reflect upon the strengthening of public policies that promote inclusion and proper, decent work for migrating and refugee populations, as well as to contribute to a better management of human mobility and the promotion of migration policies that foster social cohesion, the defense of human rights, the fight against discrimination and unequal opportunities, and the cooperation with migrants' countries of origin in favor of development.
