A Wikipédia é incontornável quando se faz um busca na internet. Esta enciclopédia tem angariado nas instituições educativas ativos seguidores ou opositores gerando uma relação amor/ódio. Quer a academia, quer a Wikimedia Foundation têm vindo a estabelecer programas que se traduzem no envolvimento da comunidade acadêmica na sua edição trazendo vantagens para os intervenientes, seja por se traduzir numa maior qualidade, seja por se traduzir numa maior aquisição de competências por parte dos estudantes. Neste artigo integramos este fenômeno no âmbito da Educação Aberta em geral e nos open scholarship e open educational resources em particular, conceitos que caracterizamos para, posteriormente, refletir sobre a possibilidade de problematizar a Wikipédia enquanto recurso educacional aberto.
Wikipedia is unavoidable when searching the internet. This encyclopedia has raised in educational institutions active followers or opponents generating a relation love/hate. Both the academy and the Wikimedia Foundation have been establishing programs that translate into the involvement of the academic community in its edition bringing benefits to the actors, either for translating into a higher quality or for translating into a greater acquisition of skills by the students. In this article we integrate this phenomenon in Open Education in general and in open scholarship and open educational resources in particular, concepts we characterize to later reflect on the possibility of problematizing Wikipedia as an open educational resource.
