| dc.description.abstract | Tomando como pretexto a publicaĆ§Ć£o de dois documentos grĆ”ficos relativos ao esquecido Hisn de Coina-a-Velha (S. LourenƧo de AzeitĆ£o), os autores sintetizam as informaƧƵes disponĆveis sobre esta fortificaĆ§Ć£o medieval, no seu percurso islĆ¢mico e cristĆ£o. Apesar de os testemunhos de ocupaĆ§Ć£o serem mais remotos, a estrutura arquitectĆ³nica revela-nos um castelo erguido pelas forƧas muƧulmanas, por volta do sĆ©culo IX ou X, que sobreviveu depois de ter sido incorporada no espaƧo do reino cristĆ£o. Os derradeiros eventos militares ocorreram em 1184 e 1191, ambos com duras consequĆŖncias na fortificaĆ§Ć£o, a qual deve ter sido definitivamente abandonada nos inĆcios do sĆ©culo XIII. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Taking as a pretext the publication of two graphic documents concerning the forgotten Hisn of Coina-a-Velha (S. LourenƧo de AzeitĆ£o), the authors synthesize the available information about this medieval fortification, in its Islamic and Christian course. Although the testimonies of occupation are more remote, the architectural structure reveals a castle built by Muslim forces, around the 9th or 10th century, which survived after being incorporated into the space of the Christian kingdom. The last military events occurred in 1184 and 1191, both with harsh consequences on the fortification, which must have been definitively abandoned in the early 13th century. | pt_PT |
