Abstract(s)
O artigo analisa e discute princípios fundamentais da ainda controversa teoria da aprendizagem denominada conectivismo. Atentos às influências e à importância da rede, Siemens e Downes apresentam o conectivismo como uma teoria adaptada à realidade tecnológica e digital na qual vivemos hoje. A partir de uma análise da bibliografia existente, identifica-se que a diversidade, a autonomia, a abertura e a conectividade são pilares dessa proposta, que traz também relevantes contradições. O conectivismo pressupõe que os alunos já dominem satisfatoriamente algumas ferramentas digitais e que estejam aptos para apresentar participações ativas ao longo do curso. Tais expectativas podem dificultar o sucesso acadêmico de alguns alunos engajados e abrir espaço para questionamentos relativos à democracia na teoria mencionada.
This paper analyses and discusses fundamental principles of the still controversial learning theory called connectivism. Paying attention to the influence and importance of the web, Siemens and Downes present the connectivism as a theory adapted to the technological and digital reality that we live in today. After analysing the existing bibliography, it was identified that diversity, autonomy, openess and connectivity are pilars of this proposal, that also brings relevant contradictions. The connectivism expects that the students come with a background of satisfactory knowledge regarding some digital tools and that they are ready to show active participation throughout the course. Those expectancies may make it harder for some engaged students to achieve academic success and it leaves room for questions about the democracy of the mentioned theory
