Abstract(s)
O Holocausto teve uma influência determinante na arte e na cultura, verificando-se também essa influência de modo muito particular na literatura para jovens. Os romances publicados pós Holocausto na década de 1050, The Lord of the Files, The Catcher in the Rye e A Separate Peace mostram uma cisão na história da literatura juvenil. Este artigo analisa estas três obras e a filmografia correspondente da perspetiva do seu valor educativo e das atividades que melhor podem desenvolver o espírito crítico nos jovens.
The datable uniqueness of the Holocaust was visible in art and culture in general and also in Young Adult Literature. The novels that have been made in the decade of 1950, after the Holocaust, The Lord of the Files, The Catcher in the Rye e A Separate Peace create a stigmatic history in Young Adult Literature. This paper analyses this three novels and correspondent films from the perspective of its increasing value in enhancing critical reading and critical film viewing in young audiences.
