Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho foca-se nas atuais tendências do ensino profissional em Portugal, analisa o perfil de quem opta por esta via de ensino e averigua as diferentes perspetivas dos formandos que frequentam o Ensino Profissional numa Associação de Formação para a Indústria que se destaca pelo trabalho que tem desenvolvido e pelos aspetos inovadores que proporciona, quer ao nível de infraestruturas e equipamentos que disponibiliza, quer ao nível do sistema do ensino que aplica - o ensino DUAL que concilia a formação teórica e prática em sala de aula, oficina ou laboratório, com a formação Prática em Contexto de Trabalho.
Em termos metodológicos, e após as devidas autorizações foi aplicado um inquérito por questionário a 144 formandos que frequentam os cursos das três modalidades de formação.
Depois de realizada a análise descritiva dos dados recolhidos, e como conclusões principais do estudo, destacamos as perspetivas dos formandos que afirmam que procuram esta via de ensino devido ao gosto que apresentam pela área do curso que frequentam e pela rápida integração no mercado de trabalho. Acresce ainda o facto do conhecimento teórico/prático adquirido nos cursos que os formandos frequentam ser considerado como essencial para o desempenho de uma profissão. Sobre o grau de satisfação em relação ao curso que frequentam, uma considerável percentagem de formandos afirma estar satisfeito e completamente satisfeito.
This work focuses on the current trends in vocational education in Portugal, analyses the profile of those who choose this route of teaching and investigates the different perspectives of trainees attending Vocational Education in an Training Association for Industry that stands out for the work it has developed and for the innovative aspects it provides, both at the level of infrastructure and equipment it provides and at the level of the education system it applies - the DUAL teaching that combines theoretical and practical training in the classroom, workshop or laboratory, with practical training in a Work Context. In methodological terms, and after the appropriate authorisations, a questionnaire survey was applied to 144 trainees attending the courses of the three training modalities. After the descriptive analysis of the data collected and as main conclusions of the study, we highlight the perspectives of the trainees who affirm that they seek this teaching path due to their taste for the area of the course they attend and their rapid integration into the labour market. In addition, the theoretical/practical knowledge acquired in the courses that the trainees attend is considered essential for the performance of a profession. Regarding the degree of satisfaction with the course they attend, a considerable percentage of trainees claim to be satisfied and completely satisfied.
