Abstract(s)
sofrimento e garantir a protecção dessas mesmas meninas e mulheres vítimas.
This project work analyzes the actions of Justice, Education and Health professionals, within the implementation of the Network of Professionals to Support Girls and Women Victims of Gender Violence in Guinea Bissau (RePAMM). This network is established in the following administrative regions of Guinea-Bissau: Bolama-Bijagós (in the administrative sectors of Bubaque and Bolama), Tombali, Oio, Gabú and Cacheu. RePAMM was established in May 2021 with UNDP/UNDP technical support and funding to address the lack or poor knowledge on the issues of harmful practices by these professionals. In this project work, the relevance and consistency of the activities undertaken within RePAMM is assessed, especially with a view to the assimilation of knowledge by professionals. One of the main objectives of this work is to contribute to the formulation of strategies for capacity building and resource strengthening of entities working in the field of GBV, to ensure an increasingly integrated protection of girls and women victims of these types of atrocities. We conducted and analyzed interviews and applied surveys to professionals in the justice, education, and health fields, as well as analyzed reports from monitoring and evaluation missions. This data served to verify the efforts made so far, but it was also important to determine the areas in which certain changes were still needed to achieve the goals of the network. In summary, we conclude that the professionals under study, after the capacity building, they have benefited from, have contributed to minimizing the suffering and ensuring the protection of these same girls and women victims.
