Apresentam-se as principais informações sobre a natureza das espécies de grandes e médios mamíferos, caçadas ou domesticadas, que foram consumidas pelas sucessivas comunidades humanas pré-históricas que ocuparam a região de Lisboa, desde o Paleolítico Médio, até ao Bronze Final, obtendo-se assim, pela primeira vez, uma visão global da alimentação proteica dessas populações no decurso do longo arco temporal considerado.
In this article we present the most relevant information about the nature of the large and mediumsized mammal species, hunted or domesticated, that were consumed by the prehistoric human communities that occupied the Lisbon region from the Middle Paleolithic to the Late Bronze Age. An overview of the protein diet of these populations during this long diachrony is discussed for the first time.
