- Education of immigrant students: the experience of a state school in São PauloPublication . Kohatsu, Lineu Norio; Ramos, Maria da Conceição Pereira; Ramos, NatáliaThe aim of the study is to investigate the experience of a municipal elementary school in São Paulo in welcoming immigrant students. Data collection was conducted through interviews with the principal, pedagogical coordinator, teachers and Bolivian immigrant parents; classroom observations, break time and project meetings for immigrant students; application of student proximity scale and analysis of school performance. The results showed that, in the perception of professionals and parents, there was a significant reduction in the manifestations of prejudice and discrimination, as well as greater interaction among students. School initiatives to enhance the culture of immigrants should be highlighted, as well as the incorporation of the theme of immigration into the curriculum through the learning scripts produced by teachers. Finally, the importance of democratic management and collective participation is highlighted for the achievement of a more inclusive school.

Com o objetivo de contribuir para a divulgação da produção acadêmica recentemente realizada em algumas universidades no Brasil e Portugal, neste artigo são apresentadas algumas dissertações e teses que tiveram como tema central a inclusão e educação escolar de alunos imigrantes e de minorias étnicas.
