  • Editorial: advances in cognitive psychology, educational technology and computing: an introduction to the special issue
Publication . Ifenthaler, Dirk; Spector, J. Michael; Sampson, Demetrios; Isaías, Pedro
The convergence of these disciplines is increasing at a fast pace and affecting academia and professional practice in many ways. The key to success is seen not so much in how the information is presented as in how well the learners can manipulate the different tools available in technology-enhanced learning environments on their own. However, empirical research also shows that learners often struggle while confronted with a technology-enhanced learning environment. This special issue is envisioned to bring together the scholarly research and theory focused on contemporary issues related to both technological as well as pedagogical issues and its implications for learning and instruction.
