  • A necessidade de uma metodologia para a definição: estratégica da digitalização do negócio das PME

    A tecnologia da World Wide Web (web), que se suporta na Internet, está a transformar todas as actividades de negócio em actividades baseadas em informação, assistindo-se a uma mudança radical dos modelos teóricos e de organização tradicionais. As pequenas e médias empresas (PME) constituem o tipo de empresa que mais vantagens podem retirar da utilização da Internet para o comércio (CE) e o negócio (NE) electrónico. Constata-se que as metodologias existentes possuem insuficiências para ajudar as PME a definirem uma tal estratégia. Neste artigo analisa-se o estado da arte e conclui-se da necessidade da definição de uma metodologia que recolha essas insuficiências e proponha alternativas que permitam colmatar as mesmas.

    The global competitiveness and the organizations ability to make effective use of information technology and to focus on innovation and creativity are recognized as being important. The perspective of using creativity techniques or some adaptations, to help innovation in the area of information systems seems to be promising. In this article we propose a strategy for the introduction of creativity in the information systems planning in order to build more agile and efficient information systems, allowing therefore more competitive business.
  • A methodology for electronic business initiatives implementation in SME

    The World Wide Web technology, supported on Internet, is transforming all business activities into information-based activities. As a result, one can see a radical change in the traditional theoretical models and organisation. The small and medium enterprises (SME) are the type of enterprises that can reap more advantages with the usage of Internet for electronic business. We found that current methodologies present gaps which make them inadequate and unable to help the small and medium enterprises define an effective strategy and follow an plausible implementation path. This being so, we propose a methodology to support the complete implementation lifecycle of electronic business in small and medium enterprises.
