| dc.description.abstract | Esta dissertação intitulada, “Fístula obstétrica: uma consequência da violação dos Direitos Humanos das Mulheres guineenses”, enquadra-se no âmbito do Mestrado em Estudos sobre as Mulheres - Género, Cidadania e Desenvolvimento. Pretendemos, com a presente dissertação, compreender como melhorar a qualidade de vida e reintegrar as mulheres portadoras de fístula obstétrica na Guiné-Bissau, de forma a garantir o gozo pleno dos seus direitos humanos. Para tal, selecionamos na população das mulheres portadoras de fístula obstétrica na Guiné-Bissau, um grupo de 20 mulheres que conforme as suas experiências, podem contribuir para responder à questão central da nossa investigação, “Qual a relação entre a utilização de um absorvente impermeável, qualidade de vida e reintegração das mulheres portadoras de fístula obstétrica na Guiné-Bissau?”. Optamos pela metodologia quantitativa, na análise dos dados recolhidos através da aplicação de um inquérito por questionário. Constatou-se que o parto prolongado é a principal causa da fístula obstétrica. Dentre as participantes no estudo, todas elas já foram marginalizadas, têm alterações de humor e feridas na zona genital. Os obstáculos que as impediram de procurar a cura são o desconhecimento sobre o que é a fístula e a existência da sua cura no país. Concluímos que as mulheres com rendimentos conseguem reintegrar-se e têm uma qualidade de vida superior. Existe relação entre a utilização de absorvente impermeável, qualidade de vida e a reintegração das mulheres portadoras de fístula obstétrica que participaram no estudo na Guiné-Bissau. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation entitled, "Obstetric fistula: a consequence of the violation of Human Rights of Guinean Women", is part of the Master's Degree in Women's Studies - Gender, Citizenship and Development. This dissertation aims to understand how to improve the quality of life and reintegrate women with obstetric fistula in Guinea-Bissau to ensure the full enjoyment of their human rights. To this end, we selected in the population of women carriers of obstetric fistula in Guinea-Bissau, a group of 20 women, as their experiences can contribute to answer the central question of our research, "What is the relationship between the use of a waterproof absorbent pad, quality of life and reintegration of women carriers of obstetric fistula in Guinea-Bissau?". We opted for the quantitative methodology, in the analysis of those collected through the application of a questionnaire survey. It was found that prolonged childbirth is the main cause of obstetric fistula. Among the participants in the study, all of them were once marginalized, have mood swings and wounds in the genital area. The obstacles that prevented them from seeking cure are, ignorance about what fistula is and the existence of its cure in the country. We conclude that women with income manage to reintegrate and have a higher quality of life. There is a relationship between the use of waterproof absorbent pad, quality of life and the reintegration of women with obstetric fistula who participated in the study in Guinea-Bissau. | pt_PT |
