Abstract(s)
nesta dissertação fazem parte do património material europeu, o nosso trabalho constituirá então,
"A picture is worth a thousand words", says the popular Portuguese saying and we couldn't agree more. This dissertation intends to create a visual passage, through art, for the daily life of those who lived in England in the 15th and 16th centuries, focusing specifically on the spaces that different social classes used to process, cook and consume food, including pieces of food. furniture, utensils and other accessories. Food, recipes and other culinary practices could not, of course, be left out of this work, not only because of their primordial connection with the kitchens, but also because of their supreme importance as intangible heritage. The iconographic sources, as well as the medieval and modern spaces and objects mentioned in this dissertation, are part of the European material heritage, our work will then constitute not only a theoretical study, but also a small collection of historical images related to food and kitchens, which may also be useful for future studies related to the subject in question.
