Abstract(s)
noutra realidade do Ser.
Imagination allows man to capture the essence of the occult world, connecting, through symbolization, levels of matter and meaning invisible to the naked eye. To observe, beyond form, images that flicker ineffable truth is a task that the poet can embrace if he wishes to be the bridge between worlds that rarely meet. And because poetry is usually a rare and precious moment, we realize why poets aspire to go beyond the visible, attentive to the opening of an inexhaustible, almost supernatural depth, beyond sensitivity. The poetry of Álvaro de Campos is reducible, in fact, to this ontological appeal, which seeks knowledge of the absolute being, the causes of the universe, as an ideal and inaccessible aim of art. First, in the light of futuristic imagery, then, under the dusky lamp of Pessoa himself, confusing, thus, alter ego and heteronym, letting himself be transpierced by melancholy, apathy, loneliness, which necessarily reveal themselves through certain images and symbols as a key to enter a sacred world, in another reality of Being . If poetry has this power, the one by Álvaro de Campos, carefully organized by Fernando Pessoa to allow access to a latent intimate version of himself, will certainly provide interesting ground to explore, in the light of the studies of the imaginary, using the contribution of Gilbert Durand, Gaston Bachelard, Jean-Jacques Wunenburger, among others.
