Abstract(s)
Tendo em mente a importância da leitura, em especial da leitura literária,
procuramos refletir sobre o papel da poesia e o seu contributo para a promoção da leitura.
A poesia pelas suas características linguísticas, estéticas e literárias pode
proporcionar ao leitor um espaço de conhecimento, de descoberta, de criatividade,
imaginação e de prazer, pelo que a sua importância e contributo para a promoção da leitura
não devem ser esquecidos, mas valorizados.
Sendo a literatura uma arte polifónica que interage constantemente com outras
artes, quanto mais rica for a experiência estética, melhor ela promoverá o exercício crítico
e criativo da linguagem.
À luz da prática comparatista, procuramos enfatizar as inúmeras possibilidades da
poesia como caminho para o conhecimento individual e social, para o exercício da
cidadania, para o desenvolvimento da língua, promovendo a fruição estética e
consequentemente a formação de leitores exigentes, sensíveis e atentos.
Having in mind the importance of reading, especially literary reading, we seek to reflect on the role of poetry and its contribution to the promotion of reading. Poetry for its linguistic, aesthetic and literary characteristics can provide the reader with a space of knowledge, discovery, creativity, imagination and pleasure, so its importance and contribution to the promotion of reading should not be forgotten, but valued. Since literature is a polyphonic art that constantly interacts with other arts, the richer the aesthetic experience, the better it will promote the critical and creative exercise of language. In the light of comparative practice, we seek to emphasize the many possibilities of poetry as a path to individual and social knowledge, to the exercise of citizenship, to the development of language, promoting aesthetic enjoyment and consequently the formation of demanding, sensitive and attentive readers.
