No presente artigo apresentam-se os Programas Intergeracionais como uma nova forma de
intervenção social, cujo elemento-chave é a educação intergeracional. Estes programas, ao promoverem
a convivência intergeracional e a colaboração entre gerações, se forem adequadamente formulados
e implementados, podem ser benéficos para as pessoas participantes, para as comunidades e, em
última instância, para as sociedades. Todavia, a planificação e implementação destes programas é uma
tarefa complexa que exige tempo e conhecimento. Neste artigo, apresenta-se, como ilustração de aplicabilidade dos Programas Intergeracionais, o desenho do perfil comunitário de uma comunidade local.
This article presents the idea of intergenerational programs as a new form of social intervention, with the key element of intergenerational education. Since these programs promote intergenerational relationships and collaboration between generations, if properly formulated and implemented, they can be beneficial for those who participate, for communities and ultimately for companies. However, the planning and implementation of these programs is a complex task that requires time and knowledge. In this article, we present the design of the local community profile, as an illustration of the applicability of intergenerational programs.
