| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho pretende estudar o património urbano da cidade de Leiria, enquanto conjunto, e aferir se as recentes políticas, planos e programas de reabilitação, revitalização e conservação urbana contribuíram para o desenvolvimento urbano sustentável local. Começou por se definir os conceitos de património urbano, urbanismo e desenvolvimento sustentável. Procedeu-se também a uma recolha de dados historiográficos para construção de um resumo da história urbana da cidade. Construiu-se um modelo de sistema de informação geográfico (SIG) que permitiu fazer análises espaciais e estatísticas a várias escalas, especialmente das subsecções estatísticas entre 2001 e 2011, uma vez que este período temporal remete para o início de consideráveis investimentos públicos e privados na reabilitação e conservação urbana no centro da cidade. Foram vários os testes e necessidade de redefinir as áreas de estudo, tanto pela dificuldade em estabelecer os limites do centro da cidade estabilizada e onde o património cultural urbano desempenhasse um papel relevante, mas também porque importava perceber os efeitos comparativos das políticas de conservação urbana na envolvente urbana. A dificuldade em obter dados comparativos e a perceção de que as mudanças eram díspares no território urbano, e por vezes contrastantes, rua a rua, quarteirão a quarteirão, obrigou também à redefinição do modelo de análise, definindo-se várias zonas de estudo. Das análises obtidas desenhou-se um modelo simplificado, tendo em conta os dados disponíveis, estatísticos e outros indicadores recolhidos, para tentar aferir conclusões sobre os efeitos e mudanças nas várias zonas da cidade após os investimentos urbanos associados à salvaguarda e valorização do património urbano. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The present work intends to approach the urban heritage of the city of Leiria, as a whole, and to verify if the various policies, plans and programs of rehabilitation, revitalization and urban conservation contributed to the urban sustainable development. It began by defining the concepts of urban heritage, urbanism and sustainable development. After it was a gathering of historiographical data to construct a summary of the urban history of the city. A model based on a geographic information system has been constructed which has made possible to carry out spatial and statistical analyzes at various scales, especially by using the statistical subsections between 2001 and 2011, since this time period refers to the beginning of considerable public and private investment in rehabilitation and urban conservation in the city center. There were several tests and the need to redefine the study areas, both because of the difficulty in establishing the limits of the stabilized city center and where the urban cultural heritage plays a relevant role, also because it is important to find the effects of urban conservation policies in the urban surroundings. The difficulty of obtaining comparative data and the perception that the changes were very different block the block also forced the redefinition of the study model. From the several analyzes, it was possible to obtain a simplified model that combined the available data, statistical data and collected indicators, to try to draw conclusions about the effects and changes in the different zones of the city associated with the investments in the safeguard and valorizations of the urban heritage. | pt_PT |
