Abstract(s)
A modernização e suas expressões trazem elementos de rápidas transformações que
influenciam toda a sociedade e também a suas organizações.
Há várias décadas que no Brasil se tenta entregar aos jovens uma educação
direcionada à construção da cidadania, sobretudo nas escolas formais; meta
educacional que, contudo, não atingiu as estruturas visadas e os resultados esperados.
Fatos políticos levaram gerações à censura ao espírito crítico, ao silenciamento diante
das bases democráticas. Circunstâncias que posicionaram nossos jovens à margem da
cidadania, fazendo com que acreditassem que o consumismo e a vida societária de
possessividade fossem mais importantes que a política e a democracia. Por
conseguinte, a área política sofreu paulatina degeneração até à crítica realidade atual,
que beira a quase alienação.
Assim, o trabalho em prol do desenvolvimento de habilidades relativas à gestão cidadã
e democrática exigiu a necessidade de elaboração de projetos voltados ao
fortalecimento da democracia e assim nasceu a Escola do Legislativo, em que se
oportuniza o ensino fora dos espaços escolares e se desenvolvem os ideais da
educação para a democracia.
As atividades da Escola do Legislativo procuram sensibilizar os jovens em relação às
práticas políticas e legislativas. Nessa, os jovens têm a oportunidade de compreender a
importância da vida democrática, da aceitação de conflitos, da busca dialógica da
negociação e do consenso comum.
Consequentemente, consolidam-se os ideais de que a ética, a transparência e a
cidadania podem sim ser praticadas pelas futuras gerações, que podem e devem
destruir toda a forma de autoritarismo e ajudar a construir uma vida democrática.
Modernization and its expressions bring elements of rapid transformations that affect the whole of society and also to their organizations. There are several decades in Brazil, one tries to get the youth citizenship education, especially in formal schools; but this teaching has not reached the expected structures. Political facts led generations of citizens to censorship to the critical spirit, to gene silencing by the democratic bases. These circumstances led our young people to the margins of citizenship and making these believe that consumerism and corporate life of possessiveness were more important than politics and democracy. The political arena suffered a degeneration coming to the current reality of today. Working for citizen and democratic management there was a need to elaborate a project for strengthening political democracy and thus was born the Legislative school; where the opportunity of education outside the school and spaces for education for democracy. The activities of the Legislative School seeks to sensitize young people about policy and legislative practices. In this school the young people have the opportunity to understand the importance of a democratic life, acceptance, Dialogic search negotiation and common consensus. Ethics, transparency and citizenship can be practiced by future generations and these can and should destroy authoritarianism, and help build a democratic life.
