As tecnologias digitais transformaram as interações verbais. A diminuição dos equilíbrios interacionais que ocorre nas redes sociais exige a reflexão sobre a indelicadeza linguística e a sua aplicação aos contextos de ensino e aprendizagem de uma língua.
A presente investigação de base teórico-prática insere-se na área da Pragmática Sociocultural, com convergência de pressupostos teóricos da Sociolinguística Interacional e da Análise do Discurso. O papel da linguagem na configuração das dinâmicas sociais está na base da presente análise que apresenta duas fases. Primeiro, estudam-se os mecanismos linguístico-discursivos da indelicadeza linguística em interações verbais em Português Europeu, realizadas no género do comentário da rede social do Facebook, analisando-se a formação das identidades discursivas e a constituição do capital social dos participantes. Em segundo lugar, estuda-se o comportamento discursivo de estudantes de Português Língua Não Materna, tendo por base as produções linguísticas realizadas nos mesmos contextos digitais observados na primeira fase do estudo e considerando outros contextos com estratégias de indelicadeza linguística.
Os resultados obtidos, tanto pela análise das produções de indelicadeza linguística nas redes sociais, como pela aplicação dessa análise a grupos de estudantes de português como língua não materna, comprovam a importância de uma abordagem educacional integrada. Tal abordagem deve combinar a aquisição e o desenvolvimento de uma competência digital com a promoção de uma reflexão crítica acerca da comunicação, considerando o impacto que o discurso violento pode exercer na construção de identidades discursivas e na diminuição do capital social das pessoas.
Digital technologies have transformed verbal interactions. The decrease in interactional equilibrium that occurs on social network platforms calls for reflection on linguistic impoliteness and its application to language teaching and learning contexts. The present theoretical-practical research falls within the area of Sociocultural Pragmatics, with intersection of theoretical frameworks from Interactional Sociolinguistics and Discourse Analysis models. The role of language in shaping social dynamics is at the basis of this two-stage analysis. Firstly, the linguistic-discursive mechanisms of linguistic impoliteness in verbal interactions in European Portuguese, as seen in the comments on Facebook, are studied, together with an analysis of the formation of discursive identities and the emergence of the participants' social capital. Secondly, the discursive behaviour of students of Portuguese as a non-native language is studied, based on linguistic productions carried out in the same digital contexts observed in the first phase of the study and considering other contexts involving strategies of linguistic impoliteness. The results obtained, both by analysing the production of linguistic impoliteness on social networks and by applying this analysis to groups of students of Portuguese as a non-native language, prove the importance of an integrated educational approach. This approach should combine the acquisition and development of digital competence with the promotion of critical reflection on communication, taking into account the impact that violent discourse can have on the construction of discursive identities and the reduction of people's social capital.
