| dc.description.abstract | O autor parte de certos testemunhos nacionais e estrangeiros acerca da importância da língua portuguesa no oriente asiático como língua franca entre povos e culturas, nos séculos xvi-xviii. A partir daí, fala dos «veículos da lusofonia» (os políticos, os missionários, os comerciantes e a mestiçagem). No capítulo 3 apresenta a atividade missionária de João Ferreira de Almeida e sobretudo a sua Bíblia, a primeira traduzida em língua portuguesa. O autor refere ainda o culto religioso calvinista em português em Batávia, capital holandesa no Oriente, como um contributo para a lusofonia. Mas um dos elementos mais importantes da lusofonia no Oriente foi a própria Bíblia de Almeida e muitos outros livros em português, sobretudo gramáticas e livros religiosos: catecismos, livros de oração, etc | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The author gives evidence to national and foreign proofs to reveal the importance of the Portuguese language in Asia which was a free language between people and cultures in the xvi-xviii’s centuries. After that, he speaks about «vehicles of lusophony»: politicians, missionaries, merchants and also the cultural exchange that facilitated the mixing of human races. Chapter 3 presents the missionary action of João Ferreira d’Almeida. His Bible was the first translation of the holy book into the Portuguese language. The author also mentions the Calvinist cult in Batavia, the Dutch capital in East, as a contribution for the spreading of the Portuguese Culture (lusophony). The Bible of João Ferreira d’Almeida was fundamental for the assimilation of the Portuguese culture as many other books written in Portuguese, especially grammars and religious books such as catechisms and prayer books. | pt_PT |
