Lourenço Diaféria foi um reconhecido cronista de São Paulo nos anos da ditadura militar brasileira. Participou do Secretariado Nacional Justiça e Não-Violência, grupo que reunia representantes de trabalhadores(as) e da esquerda católica, que tinha como método a não-violência-ativa. Se em seus textos já eram recorrentes a crítica social e a presença de pessoas comuns, de forma mais humanizada do que nas notícias, a partir da inserção no grupo, suas inquietações e a atenção aos direitos humanos ganharam ênfase no conteúdo e no papel da literatura que elaborava. Dessa forma, partindo da compreensão de que autor e literatura estão vinculados à realidade, sendo modificados e agindo sobre a sociedade, abordamos neste artigo a atuação e as intersecções de Diaféria como cronista de jornal e participante do movimento da não-violência-ativa.

He participated in the National Secretariat for Justice and Non-Violence, a group that brought together workers and the Catholic left, whose method was active non-violence. Social inequality and the presence of ordinary people were recurrent in his writings, in a more humanized way than in the news. But after joining the group, his concerns and attention to Human Rights have increased. hus, based on the understanding that author and literature are linked to reality, being modified and acting on society, this article presents Diaféria’s intersections as a newspaper chronicle writer and participant in the Active Non-Violent Movement.
