O plano regional de leitura: do projeto à prática num clube de leitura

| dc.description.abstract | Na presente dissertação, procuramos perceber os contributos que um Clube de Leitura pode oferecer no âmbito da promoção da leitura, na formação de leitores de 2.º ciclo que contactarão, pela primeira vez, com obras recomendadas pelo Plano Regional de Leitura, e em que vertentes a apropriação de conhecimentos desta mesma leitura teve impacto. Esta opção veio em sequência da realidade observada na Escola do Ensino Básico e Secundário do Nordeste (EBS Nordeste), São Miguel, Açores, na qual se verificou, através de uma análise exploratória, que os livros listados no PRL raramente eram solicitados pelos alunos ou pelos docentes para dinamização de alguma atividade. Na prática, o PRL, naquele contexto em particular, não se podia considerar um projeto nem conhecido, nem implementado. Neste contexto, selecionámos três livros de uma coleção intitulada “Férias nos Açores", de Regina Tristão da Cunha. A escolha dos títulos foi feita conscientemente, na medida em que um dos objetivos era que os membros do Clube de Leitura pudessem contactar com realidades históricas, geográficas e culturais, que transcendessem a sua (São Miguel) e observassem a de outras ilhas, e percecionar se a obra em questão promovia a consciência da insularidade e de como esta é ultrapassável com a apropriação de conhecimentos históricos e culturais comuns ao arquipélago. O desenvolvimento deste projeto de leitura no Clube de Leitura contribuiu para a ampliação dos conhecimentos relativos à realidade açoriana nos domínios históricos, geográficos e culturais, tendo, também, implicações muito positivas no incremento da fluência da leitura, na aquisição de hábitos leitores e no manuseamento de informação aquando do preenchimento dos guiões de leitura. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The current dissertation aims at understanding the valuable contribution of a Reading Club can offer to 2º ciclo readers, as to find out how Reading habits are created and nurtured, for the first time using works from the Plano Regional de Leitura (PRL). Also, to grasp the impact of these readings on knowledge acquisition for the students. The path of this investigation was set by the careful observation of the Escola do Ensino Básico e Secundário de Nordeste (EBS Nordeste), São Miguel, Açores, reality. Observing that reality, one comes across with striking facts. For instance, at this school library, the collection of works comprising the Plano Regional de Leitura’s list was scarce; moreover, the numbers of home autonomous reading, library reading, oriented reading and project development (2015/2016) revealed that books listed on the PRL were rarely requested by students or teachers, in general, for promoting any school task. Thus, the PRL, in that particular school context, couldn’t be considered a known, let alone, implemented project. At this starting point, a collection of works, entitled Férias nos Açores, by Regina Tristão da Cunha, was selected. It is composed by nine volumes, concerning one Azorean island each. Further along the project, we’ve opted for three of these volumes: Kathy em Santa Maria, Kathy na Graciosa e Kathy no Faial. The choice for these titles was deliberately made, as one of the aims was exposing the Reading Club members to historical, geographical and cultural realities diverse from the ones they were familiar with. The students were to be immersed in the other islands’ realities and question themselves about insularity: “Does this book promote insularity awareness? How can we surpass insularity finding out more about background historical and cultural similarities among the islands of the archipelago?” The implementation of this reading project in the Reading Club contributed to the expansion of knowledge about the Azorean reality in the historical, geographic and cultural domains, and also had very positive implications for reading fluency, reading habits and handling information when filling in the reading guides. | pt_PT |
