Abstract(s)
Este trabalho tem o propรณsito de olhar de uma forma atenta e objectiva para a realidade das Bibliotecas Escolares do 1ยบ Ciclo. A realidade que as envolve รฉ de tal forma diferenciada das Bibliotecas de outros Ciclos de Ensino que nos suscitou o interesse de realizar este trabalho.
As Bibliotecas que vamos analisar estรฃo integradas na Rede Nacional de Bibliotecas
Escolares (RBE), mas, como os recursos humanos sรฃo escassos nas Escolas do 1ยบ Ciclo, esta
situaรงรฃo repercute-se tambรฉm nas Bibliotecas. Mais vezes do que aquelas que seriam desejรกveis, para que se sentisse que a Biblioteca estรก efectivamente a cumprir os objectivos para que foi criada, encontra-se a Biblioteca de portas fechadas, pois a falta de funcionรกrios nรฃo permite a alteraรงรฃo desta situaรงรฃo.
Para combater esta lacuna, a Rede Nacional de Bibliotecas Escolares foi autorizando destacamentos para que professores do 1ยบ Ciclo e /ou educadores pudessem exercer a sua actividade nestas Bibliotecas Escolares (BE). Estes promoviam a gestรฃo, dinamizaรงรฃo, animaรงรฃo de leitura e colaboravam de uma forma geral com os outros professores/educadores nas actividades que uma Biblioteca pode proporcionar.
Numa tentativa de rentabilizar melhor este professor destacado, a maioria exercia esta actividade em vรกrias Escolas / Jardins e ou atรฉ em vรกrios Agrupamentos. Por repartir assim a
sua actividade e partilhar o seu trabalho desta forma, foi criada uma figura que era designada
pela Rede de โrecurso partilhadoโ.
Estes โrecursos partilhadosโ apenas existiam nas Bibliotecas das Escolas do 1ยบ Ciclo e sรณ naquelas que, devido ร s suas menores dimensรตes, nรฃo justificavam um professor a tempo inteiro.
O nosso trabalho vai incidir sobre a actividade deste โrecurso partilhadoโ em dois Agrupamentos: Agrupamento de Escolas de Soure e Agrupamento de Escolas de Miranda do Corvo.
O estudo abrange um perรญodo de dois anos lectivos: 2006/2007 e 2007/2008.
No ano lectivo 2006/2007 as Bibliotecas usufruรญram deste โrecurso partilhadoโ; no ano
lectivo de 2007/2008 o โrecurso partilhadoโ em ambos os Agrupamentos cessou as suas funรงรตes.
A investigaรงรฃo vai recolher dados sobre estes dois perรญodos distintos da vida das Bibliotecas Escolares, que se depararam com duas situaรงรตes tรฃo divergentes, o que trarรก com certeza resultados diferentes em muitos aspectos.

A pesquisa efectua-se de variadas maneiras: observaรงรฃo directa, anรกlise documental e um inquรฉrito por questionรกrio, atravรฉs do que esperamos conhecer as percepรงรตes dos professores em relaรงรฃo ร realidade funcional da Biblioteca, ao trabalho do โrecurso partilhadoโ, ร sua prรณpria relaรงรฃo com a Biblioteca Escolar, sua integraรงรฃo nas prรกticas pedagรณgicas e inclusรฃo no processo de ensino/aprendizagem.
Sรฃo as conclusรตes de todas estas variantes que pretendemos apresentar, com a finalidade de suscitar reflexรฃo e um melhor conhecimento desta realidade.
Estruturalmente dรก-se inรญcio ao trabalho com uma introduรงรฃo, na qual se faz uma pequena explanaรงรฃo sobre as razรตes que nos levaram a efectuar este trabalho, assim como a justificaรงรฃo para que fosse este tema a suscitar a nossa escolha.
A dissertaรงรฃo divide-se depois em duas partes.
A primeira faz o enquadramento do nosso objecto de estudo e subdivide-se em trรชs capรญtulos. Esta parte รฉ aquela que รฉ mais descritiva, pois contextualiza toda a problemรกtica subjacente ร nossa anรกlise: Bibliotecas, Agrupamentos e โRecurso Partilhadoโ.
A segunda descreve o estudo empรญrico, estando tambรฉm dividida em trรชs capรญtulos. ร nesta parte do trabalho que se apresentam os objectivos da nossa pesquisa, as questรตes que lhe estรฃo inerentes, as opรงรตes metodolรณgicas seleccionadas e onde se sistematizam as respostas aos questionรกrios, fazendo a sua apresentaรงรฃo, bem como a sua anรกlise, interpretaรงรฃo e discussรฃo.
No tรฉrmino do trabalho apresenta-se a conclusรฃo do mesmo.
This work has the aim of looking attentively and in an uninterested way at the reality of School Libraries from the 1st Cycle of Education. Their reality is so different from the libraries of the other cycles of education that this was an encouragement for us to carry out this study. The Libraries we are going to analyse are integrated in Rede Nacional de Bibliotecas Escolares (RBE), but as the human resources are scarce in the 1st Cycle Schools, there arenโt any people in charge of the libraries at school. In order to solve these problems the RBE has been giving permissions for 1st Cycle teachers and/or educators to be in charge of the School Libraries, managing them, promoting activities and collaborative work with other teachers. These teachers used to work in different schools / nursery schools or even in different groups of schools in an attempt to monetize their work. So the RBE used to call this type of teacher as โshared resourceโ. These โshared resourcesโ only existed in the small dimensions 1st Cycle School Libraries as they didnโt justify a full time teacher or educator. Our study will focus on the activity of this โshared resourceโ in two Groups of Schools: Agrupamento de Escolas de Soure and Agrupamento de Escolas de Miranda do Corvo. It will also focus on the school years: 2006/2007 and 2007/2008. In the school year 2006/2007 these Libraries could enjoy this โshared resourceโ, but in the school year 2007/2008 this โshared resourceโ was cancelled in both Groups of Schools. Our research is going to collect data about these two different terms of the life of these two School Libraries. They had to face two very divergent situations and which will certainly bring different results in many aspects. There are different ways in which this research is going to be carried out. From direct observation and document analysis, to inquiry through questionnaires so that we can get the best perceptions of teachers towards the functional reality of Libraries, the โshared resourceโ, their own relation with the School Libray, their integration in the pedagogical practices and in the teaching/learning process. The conclusions of all these variants are what we aim to present so that there is a raising debate and a better understanding of this reality. Structuraly our study starts with an introduction in which we have a short explanation about our reasons to carry out this job and our justification for the choice of this theme. The dissertation is divided into parts: The first provides the background of our object of study and it is divided into three chapters. This is the most descriptive part as it contextualizes the whole issue concerned with our analysis: Libraries, Groups of Schools and โShared Resourceโ. The second describes the empirical study and it is also divided into three chapters. It is here where we present the aims of our research, the related issues, the selected methodological choices and where we systematize the answers to the questionnaires and proceed to their presentation as well as their analyses, interpretation and discussion. At the end of our work it is presented its conclusion.
