Abstract(s)

The project intended to research and develop the communication potential of social networks in a pedagogical context, in other words, the goal was to use internet tolls like Facebook and Hi5 (nonacademic setting), in a class context, with an educational purpose. The aim was to create a channel of communication, with multiple levels and possibilities, in order to enhance the students’ scientific, social and communicational skills. In particular, the objective was the creation of social bonds, based in an academic context, that were not confined to school space.
