Abstract(s)
Conservatórios, e desafiando a supervisão pedagógica e a organização escolar a explorar
novos métodos de ensino e aprendizagem. Este estudo teve como objetivo compreender
as perspetivas e práticas de professores, alunos e encarregados de educação diante desse
desafio.
A metodologia aplicada combinou
In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially declared COVID-19 a pandemic, leading many countries, including Portugal, to adopt widespread lockdown measures and the closure of schools. This fact accelerated the adaptation in the teaching learning process, especially in Conservatories, challenging pedagogical supervision and school organization to explore new teaching and learning methods.. This study aimed to understand the perspectives and practices of teachers, students, and parents in the face of this challenge. The research goals included characterizing the perspectives of these stakeholders both before and during and after the pandemic, identifying technology-mediated educational practices, and evaluating the consequences of this process on Conservatories. Furthermore, it sought to gain insights into how the participants envisioned the future of music education trough technology. To achieve these objectives, two Conservatories located in the Portuguese Autonomous Regions were selected: The Regional Conservatory of Ponta Delgada (CRPD) in Azores and the Conservatory – Professional School of Arts of Madeira, Eng.º Luiz Peter Clode (CEPAM) in Madeira. The methodology applied combine document analysis, interviews, and questionnaires, with a total of 237 valid responses obtained from the school community. One notable conclusion from this research was that de Conservatory community was not adequately prepare for the Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT). However, there was a consensus on the maintenance of good educational practices during lockdown periods, highlighting resilience and adaptability in the continuity of music education.
