O presente trabalho procurou compreender o grau de implementação da
Educação para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável (EDS) nos curricula do ensino
primário (EP) em Angola, trabalhando com o Complexo Escolar Cruzeiro do Sul
do Lubango em Angola como ferramenta auxiliar do processo. Este tema é
bastante relevante para o sistema educacional angolano, visto que poderá
contribuir para uma educação de qualidade, sensibilização dos professores para a
EDS e, assim, para a melhoria dos conteúdos programáticos em vigor e para o
Desenvolvimento Sustentável (DS) do País. Foram objetivos desta pesquisa
analisar os Curricula do Ensino Primário (CEP) angolano no Complexo Escolar
Cruzeiro de Sul para se compreender o grau de implementação da EDS, avaliar o
nível de conhecimento da comunidade educativa sobre a EDS e, com base nestas
informações, juntamente com os guias da UNESCO para o tratamento da EDS e
outros documentos relevantes, elaborar diretrizes para uma proposta com
sugestões para a implementação da EDS nos curricula do EP, de acordo com a
realidade angolana. Estes objetivos foram alcançados mediante análise
documental, revisão bibliográfica e entrevistas estruturadas à comunidade
educativa. Estas diretrizes poderão servir de apoio aos professores do Complexo
Escolar Cruzeiro do Sul e a quaisquer outros agentes educativos que se
interessem por esta temática.
The present work was developed in order to understand the degree of implementation of the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the curricula of primary education (PE) in Angola working with the Cruzeiro do Sul Lubango School Complex in Angola as an auxiliary tool of the process. This theme is very relevant to the Angolan education system, since it can contribute to increase the quality of education, raising teachers' awareness of ESD and thus improving the existing program’s content and the country's Sustainable Development (SD). The purpose of this research was to analyze the Syllabus of Primary Education (SPE) in the Cruzeiro do Sul School Complex in order to understand the degree of EDS implementation and to evaluate the level of knowledge of the EDS educational community. Based on this information, together with UNESCO international guide for the treatment of ESD, and other relevant documents, it was prepared a set of guidelines and suggestions for the implementation of ESD in the curricula of PE according to the Angolan reality. These objectives were achieved through documentary analysis, bibliographic review, and structured interviews with the educational community. These guidelines can serve as support to the teachers of the Cruzeiro do Sul School Complex and to other education stakeholders.
