Neste ensaio aborda-se, de forma comparativa, a génese de Cabo Verde na obra poética Nascimento de um mundo, cujo autor é Mário Lúcio Sousa. O escopo principal é o de analisar criticamente a forma e o fundo de alguns textos poéticos da obra acima referida. Para a concretização do fito principal, os objetivos específicos passam por identificar os temas dos diferentes textos poéticos, bem como propor a leitura da obra em função do seu valor histórico-literário e da sua relação com a temática da gênese de Cabo Verde. O estudo articula-se em três partes complementares: biografia do autor, forma e fundo dos textos poéticos e, por último, as conclusões sobre a maneira como os «eus» poéticos entoam o nascimento das ilhas cabo-verdianas.
This essay addresses, in a comparative way, the genesis of Cape Verde in the poetic work titled Nascimento de um Mundoauthored by Mário Lúcio Sousa. This study’s primary objective is critically analyze the structure and contextual backdrop of selected poetic verses from the aforementioned literary work. To accomplish the primary objective, the particular aims include identifying themes present in various poetry texts, along with the proposition of an interpretative approach to these works based on their historical-literary significance and their connection to the topic of the genesis of Cape Verde. The study is divided into three complementary parts: biography of the author, form, and background of poetic texts, and, finally, the conclusions drawn about how the literary personas express the emergence of the Cape Verdean islands.
