Abstract(s)
The following dissertation had as its main purpose to study a topic that, nowadays, has to do with a schooling alternative. It intends to be of great efficiency in the inclusion of pupils whose learning process was not as successful as desired, the Educational and Formation Courses. These courses are regulated by the joint bill n.º279/2002, of the 12 of April, Educational and Formation Courses (EFC). These courses constitute an alternative way for students whose profile does not fit in the regular educational system, so that they can fulfill a schooling process which allows their inclusion in the working life or proceed with their higher education. Our investigation is based upon a study case of two classes from a school of the Lisbon area. These classes belong to two Educational and Formation Courses, both of them differ in the professional areas as well as the type of its students. It was our intention to use the greatest number of research tools, applied to the greatest number of contributors in all the educative process analyzed, in order to confer to this investigation the greatest degree of reliability. In this way, a series of conclusions were achieved, that given the inherent limitations of a study with these characteristics, did not allow us to make relative generalizations over this matter. Therefore, this study will be used merely as document for reflection to all those that work in this topic area or simply those who are interested in this subject matter.
