Espaços de leitura e formação de leitores : estudo de um projecto em escolas do 1º ciclo do Concelho de Chaves

Partindo de uma abordagem teórica à importância da leitura sobretudo em contexto escolar, esta dissertação debruça-se sobre uma vertente de um projecto lançado pela AMAT (Associação de Municípios do Alto Tâmega), intitulado “Lendas, Contos e Tradições do Alto Tâmega e Barroso: Do Contexto Oral à Expressão Escrita". A vertente que aqui se aprecia diz respeito à criação, em escolas de 1º ciclo, de Espaços de Leitura Animada (ELAN), tendo como objectivo principal a promoção do livro e da leitura. Dada a especificidade do problema, optou-se por um estudo de caso, com o qual se verifica até que ponto alunos, professores e outros agentes da comunidade educativa intervêm na criação e dinamização desses espaços de leitura, assim como constata que tipo de estratégias/actividades são aí realizados.
Based on a theoretical approach of the importance of the reading within a school context, this dissertation is about a project launched by the AMAT (Association of the Cities of the High Tâmega), called "Legends, Tales and Traditions of the High Tâmega and Barroso: from the oral context to the written expression". The vision that is valued here concerns the creation of the project “Spaces of Animated Reading" (ELAN), in schools of the 1st Portuguese cycle, with the main objective of the book and reading promotion. Given the characteristics of the problem, we chose a case study as the best methodology, verifying at what point pupils, teachers and other agents of the educative community are present in the creation and implementation of these reading spaces, as well as what strategies/activities are carried out in those spaces
