| dc.description.abstract | Introdução: Com o objetivo de compreender a influência do climatério/menopausa no relacionamento conjugal realizou-se um estudo descritivo simples recorrendo à pesquisa empírica e aplicação de escalas de autopreenchimento para avaliar a satisfação em áreas da vida conjugal em 116 casais residentes na região de Lisboa (Portugal), cujas mulheres se encontravam no climatério. Os dados foram analisados utilizando o programa SPPS 19 e análise de conteúdo das questões abertas. Resultados: indicam que todas as dimensões da satisfação em áreas da vida conjugal apresentam valores satisfatórios, os homens apresentam uma perceção mais positiva do casamento e a satisfação conjugal diminui com a idade, variando com o tempo de conjugalidade; dos discursos sobressaem a comunicação, a negociação, a aceitação desta fase com naturalidade e a sexualidade como fatores considerados importantes na dinâmica conjugal e no relacionamento do casal. Conclusão: não podemos afirmar que a transição para a menopausa seja o único motivo a interferir no relacionamento conjugal. É preciso aprender a viver esta fase da vida com qualidade e bem-estar. Os profissionais de saúde precisam de investir mais na promoção da saúde e apoio às mulheres e casais a vivenciarem esta etapa da vida. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: In order to understand the influence of menopause/climacteric in the marital relationship, it was carried out a simple descriptive study using the empirical research and application of self-completion scales to evaluate the satisfaction in areas of married life of 116 couples residents in Lisbon region (Portugal), whose women were in the climacteric. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 19 program and content analysis of the open questions. Results: It was found that all dimensions of satisfaction in areas of married life have satisfactory values, that men have a more positive perception of marriage and the marital satisfaction decreases with age, which varies with time of conjugality, from speeches protrude communication, negotiation, acceptance of this phase with naturally and sexuality as factors considered important in marital dynamics and in couple's relationship. Conclusion: despite of the differences in marital satisfaction as a function of age group, we cannot affirm that the transition to menopause is the only reason interfering in the marital relationship. One must learn how to live this phase of life with quality and well-being. It seems essential to develop further studies to better understand this problematic and support health professionals in the health promotion and support women and couples to experience this stage of life. | eng |
