Abstract(s)
O “Projeto Acessibilidades” foi desenvolvido entre setembro e dezembro de 2012 e pretendeu identificar as condições de acessibilidade física, comunicacional, de equipamento e de assistência personalizada em 15 bibliotecas do município de Lisboa. A triangulação dos diferentes tipos de dados recolhidos indica que as condições de acessibilidade ainda não existem em pleno na maioria das bibliotecas visitadas. Esta realidade compromete a livre utilização da biblioteca por todos mas deve ser salientado que para superar a maioria dos obstáculos foi notado um forte empenho da equipa da
biblioteca para auxiliar as pessoas com diferentes tipos e graus de funcionalidade (deficientes, idosos, grávidas ou com crianças pequenas).
The “Accessibilities Project” was developed between September and December 2012 aiming to identify the physical, communicational, equipment and personalised assistance accessibility conditions at 15 libraries in the municipality of Lisbon. The triangulation of all collected data indicates that accessibility conditions are still not in place in most of the visited libraries. This reality compromises the autonomous and free library use by everyone but it must be stressed that in order to overcome most of the obstacles it was noticed a strong staff commitment to assist and help people with different kinds and degrees of functionality (disabled, elderly, pregnant or with little children).
