| dc.description.abstract | Este estudo teve como foco a obtenção de um maior conhecimento sobre a problemática da leitura, perspetivando o papel dos Pais/ EE na motivação e na promoção da leitura, em articulação com a Biblioteca Escolar. É no ambiente familiar que a criança constrói as primeiras perceções sobre a linguagem escrita a partir das experiências diversificadas de comunicação. O desenvolvimento de hábitos leitores nas crianças advém, em grande parte, do contexto familiar, designadamente do tempo e predisposição da família para ler aos seus filhos. A revisão da literatura mostrou a importância dos Pais/ EE na Educação Literária, que prepara os alunos para uma cidadania interventiva e para os desafios da sociedade da informação e do conhecimento. No estudo empírico, analisou-se o envolvimento dos pais nas atividades sugeridas pela BE, o acompanhamento das leituras, a importância das atividades da BE para a aprendizagem e formação global dos seus educandos. Para isso, recorreu-se aos questionários utilizados pela Rede de Bibliotecas Escolares no âmbito do modelo de avaliação dessas bibliotecas. O inquérito por questionário foi aplicado a uma amostra de Pais/EE nas Escolas Básicas de quatro distritos de Portugal Continental, na zona litoral (Leiria e Setúbal) e na zona interior (Vila Real e Évora). Relativamente aos resultados obtidos, conclui-se que os Pais/EE e a BE desenvolveram algum trabalho de parceria com as BE, com ligeiras melhorias de 2015 para 2017. Esta articulação poderá depender de uma grande diversidade de fatores, para os quais não temos dados disponíveis neste estudo, mas tornam-se promotores de estudos futuros. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This study was carried out within the scope of a master's thesis on Information Management and School Libraries and allowed for greater knowledge in what concerns the problem of reading, envisaging the role of Parents/Guardians in motivating and promoting reading. Children build their first perceptions of written language based on the diversified communication experiences in their family environment, including the time and willingness each family dedicates to read to their children. The present investigation sought to understand the role and contribution of Parents/Guardians to promote reading in coordination with School Libraries. More specifically, this study endeavoured to analyse the involvement of parents in the activities suggested by School Libraries, the monitoring of reading experiences, the importance of School Library activities for the learning and global training of their students. This empirical study meant to approach the importance of Parents/Guardians in Literary Education, preparing students for an active citizenship and for the challenges of the information and knowledge society, resorting to surveys used by the network of School Libraries within the scope of their evaluation model. These surveys were applied to a sample of Parents/Guardians in primary schools in four districts of Portugal mainland, in coastal areas (Leiria and Setúbal) and in inland areas (Vila Real and Évora). The attained results showed that Parents/Guardians and School Libraries developed a work of partnership promoting reading, which showed some slight improvements between 2015 and 2017. It was identified that this partnership articulation depends on a wide variety of factors, such as the dynamics of the different School Clusters, as well as their sociodemographic characteristics. Additional factors which play an important role were also identified, which may become an issue of interest to be approached in future studies due to the current lack of data. | pt_PT |
