Abstract(s)
In the setting of today’s world, we have been the witnesses of growing local, national and global tensions that highlight the degradation of human relations, weaken democracies, and uncover the dual, Manichean look that has led us in the design of political and social strategies which have reinforced rationales of hierarchization and subordination. This study aims to contribute with a decolonial proposal for the development of the human being, emphasising the urgency of a project of critical interculturality that gathers new forms of solidarity, that refers to the decentring of thinking and feeling to aspire to an education of freedom and hope. The analysis revises ontological and epistemological foundations that justify the choice of a hermeneutic approach, carried out from the perspective of a decolonial referential combined with the art dimension through music and its relation with the individual. This results in the projection of a decolonial constellation, the configuration of many centres of action in interdependence and in equity, which will bring a new sense to what is understood to be essential in the human being’s learning process. We believe that this new sense may be revealed through the language of the sensible dimension, via the deconstruction of a thought constructed by the filters of the cold and hegemonic reason in the access to an other-knowledge. Art, as privileged experience of the sphere of the sensible dimension, indicates that it encloses the potential for freedom in the exploration of the profound individual that will be integrated and manifest in the vibrant collective, thus contributing to the challenge of a possible conversion of the current ontological and epistemological paradigms.
