Competências pedagógico-digitais de professores em Portugal na era das hiperconexões

| dc.description.abstract | Recentemente, relatórios da UNESCO (2022) e da Comissão Europeia (2020) destacam como prioridades estratégicas o desenvolvimento de ecossistemas de educação digital eficazes e o reforço das competências dos professores para a transformação digital. Este estudo procurou avaliar o nível de proficiência pedagógico-digital de professores do Ensino Básico e Secundário em Portugal, com base na Escala de Autoavaliação Ped_Digcompedu_Red24, uma versão atualizada do referencial europeu DigCompEdu. Esta versão da escala, com 22 competências, atualiza e complementa a dimensão pedagógica com competências relacionadas com educação online, educação aberta e inteligência artificial generativa. Participaram no estudo 183 docentes de escolas da região Norte de Portugal, cujos dados foram analisados quantitativamente com recurso a técnicas estatísticas descritivas e inferenciais. Os resultados revelam uma concentração significativa nos níveis intermédios de proficiência digital, especialmente nas áreas pré-existentes. No entanto, em áreas emergentes como as da inteligência artificial os docentes apresentam níveis muito baixos, situando-se maioritariamente no nível A1. Não foram encontradas diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre género, idade ou tempo de serviço. | dc.description.abstract | Recent reports by UNESCO (2022) and the European Commission (2020) emphasise the development of effective digital education ecosystems and the strengthening of teachers’ skills for digital transformation as strategic priorities. This study sought to assess the level of pedagogical-digital proficiency of primary and secondary school teachers in Portugal based on the Ped_Digcompedu_Red24 Self-Assessment Scale, a version of the DigCompEdu framework. This version, with 22 competences, updates and complements the pedagogical dimension with competences related to online education, open education and generative artificial intelligence. 183 teachers from the north of Portugal took part in the study, whose data was analysed quantitatively using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results reveal a significant concentration at intermediate levels of digital proficiency, especially in pre-existing areas. However, in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, teachers have very low levels, mostly at level A1. No statistically significant differences were found between gender, age or length of service. The results highlight the need to invest in continuous training centred on emerging digital skills, promoting a more critical, innovative and technologically sustainable teaching practice. | eng |
